How Our Service Works

Below is an outline of how our service works from the time you Request an Estimate to the delivery of your vehicle.
Each request is unique and the process below may vary based on your relocation needs.

  • You will get an immediate email response letting you know that we have received your request.
  • Within 24 hours, we will generate an estimate and email it to you for review. Feel free to contact us with any questions.
    • Estimates are based on the most direct route to expedite your vehicle relocation
    • Each full day is estimated at approximately 10 hours and approximately 600 miles (passenger vehicle only, without towing). This includes stops for fuel, comfort, and meals
  • After you review the estimate and discuss any questions you may have with us, we will email you a contract and a credit card authorization form to review. Once you have signed and returned these documents your trip will be confirmed and scheduled.

At the time the contracts have been signed and the trip has been confirmed:

  • 50% of the estimate amount is due and we will email you an invoice for this amount
    • This payment can be made via the emailed invoice or with the credit card information provided on the credit card authorization form  
    • Other acceptable methods of payment include:  ACH, PayPal, Zelle, or Cashier’s Check

  • We will purchase any airline flights needed to transport our driver to an airport near the vehicle pick-up location and/or to an airport near our driver’s home from the vehicle drop-off location. We will do this as soon as possible to secure the best fares
    • Cost Saving Tip: Using accrued Frequent Flyer miles toward the purchase of flights will reduce costs!

48 hours prior to vehicle pick-up date:

  • Reliable Driving will contact you to:
    • Verify your contact information
    • Provide you with the driver’s contact information
    • Provide you with a copy of the driver’s identification, if requested
    • Confirm the driver’s arrival time for vehicle pick-up
    • Go over the specifics of your trip and answer any questions either party may have

Prior to vehicle pick-up our driver will:

  • Take ground transportation from their home to a local airport
  • Fly to an airport near the vehicle pick-up location
  • Contact you to provide a status update
  • Take ground transportation from the airport to the vehicle pick-up location
    • Cost Saving Tip: Picking up our driver at the airport, or having the pick-up location be at the airport, will reduce this ground transportation cost!
    • Exception: Additional ground transportation, hotel, and incidental expenses may be incurred for a previous night stay due to no same-day flight availability before an early morning vehicle pick-up

At the time of the vehicle pick-up our driver will:

  • Introduce themselves to you and discuss any questions either party may have
  • Inspect the vehicle with you, complete the Pre-trip Vehicle Inspection form and have both parties sign it
  • Take documentary photos of the vehicle
  • Email you a copy of the completed Vehicle Inspection form and the photos taken

During the trip our driver will:

  • Contact you immediately if there are any incidents or significant delays
  • Contact you each night with an update
  • Contact you 24 hours prior to the scheduled drop-off to confirm the time and location
  • Contact you a few hours prior to the scheduled drop-off to reconfirm the time and location

At the time of the vehicle drop-off our driver will:

  • Inspect the vehicle with you, complete the Post-trip Vehicle Checklist and have both parties sign it

After the vehicle is dropped-off our driver will:

  • Take ground transportation from the vehicle drop-off location to a local airport
    • Cost Saving Tip: Taking our driver to the airport, or having the drop-off location be at the airport, will reduce this ground transportation cost!
    • Exception: Additional ground transportation, hotel, and incidental expenses may be incurred for an additional night stay due to no same-day flight availability after a late evening vehicle drop-off
  • Fly to an airport near the driver’s home
  • Take ground transportation from the airport to the driver’s home

Once the trip is complete:

  • The remaining 50% of the estimate amount, plus any possible additional costs that may have occurred during the trip, is due and we will email you an invoice for this amount
    • This payment can be made via the emailed invoice or with the credit card information provided on the credit card authorization form  
    • Other acceptable methods of payment include:  ACH, PayPal, Zelle, or Cashier’s Check

What costs can I expect when relocating my vehicle?

Vehicle relocation costs:

  • Fuel
  • Hotels
  • Expenses and compensation

Driver transportation costs:

  • Ground transportation from the driver’s home to a local airport
  • Flight to an airport near the vehicle pick-up location
  • Ground transportation from the airport to the vehicle pick-up location
    • Cost Saving Tip: Picking up our driver at the airport, or having the pick-up location be at the airport, will reduce this ground transportation cost!
  • Ground transportation from the vehicle drop-off location to a local airport 
    • Cost Saving Tip: Taking our driver to the airport, or having the drop-off location be at the airport, will reduce this ground transportation cost!
  • Flight to an airport near the driver’s home
  • Ground transportation from the airport to the driver’s home

Possible additional costs:

  • Highway/bridge/tunnel tolls
  • Parking fees
  • Minor repair fees (i.e. flat tire, wiper blades, fuses, light bulbs, etc.)
  • Ground transportation, hotel, and incidental expenses that may be required due to cancellations, or extended waiting periods as a result of delays, mechanical issues, inclement weather or unsafe road conditions

Summary of when payments are due

  • When the contract is signed and the trip is confirmed, 50% of the estimate amount is due and we will email you an invoice for this amount. We will then book/purchase any needed airline flights for our driver.
    • Cost Saving Tip: Using accrued Frequent Flyer miles toward the purchase of flights will reduce costs! 
  • After the trip has been completed, the remaining 50% of the estimate amount, plus any possible additional costs that may have occurred during the trip, is due and we will email you an invoice for this amount.
